Traffic safety
We take care of road maintenance so that civilian and military cargo, passenger and freight transport can travel safely. Operational maintenance means keeping the roads in a condition suitable for transportation. This includes repairing potholes, replacing damaged road signs, and clearing the remains of machinery, ice and snow.
Border crossing points
We are modernizing and expanding border crossing points. We are managing 27 checkpoints. Our goal is to improve export logistics and logistics of humanitarian and military cargo.
Equeue
Drivers and carriers can use the electronic queue service to cross the border more comfortably and quickly. You can check the workload of the checkpoints and join the queue on the eQueue website.
Large and heavy vehicles
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution to liberalize the transportation of oversized and heavy cargo, which introduces European standards for size and weight restrictions. The approved document details and clarifies the maximum permissible axle loads depending on the number of axles and axle spacing.
The standard gross weight is no more than 40 tons.

In order to preserve roads, streets and railroad crossings, vehicles with weight or dimensions exceeding the standard parameters may move only with a permit
Weight-in-motion system (Wim)
Ukraine introduces automatic recording of administrative offenses in the field of road transport safety. The weighing-in-motion system monitors truck movements around the clock in real time. Special sensors collect information on the total weight, load on each axle, overall dimensions and license plates of vehicles. The system detects violations of weight and size standards and automatically transmits the data to the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety, which then fines violators.
