On the M-07 highway Kyiv – Kovel – Yahodyn (towards Lublin) major repair works are underway at an accelerated pace. We are restoring 1.9 km of road on two access routes leading to the Yahodyn – Dorohusk international border crossing point.

On one of the sections, the road is being constructed from scratch. Road workers have completed the installation of two layers of the foundation to ensure a strong base for the new pavement structure, and have begun laying the top layer of asphalt concrete.

On another section, the bottom layer of asphalt has already been laid. A sidewalk has also been constructed to ensure safe pedestrian movement.

The capital repair of the M-07 highway on the two access routes to the Yahodyn – Dorohusk international border crossing is being carried out under the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme.

The goal of the project is to modernize a strategically important transport artery that facilitates freight traffic through one of the key international border crossing points on the border with the Republic of Poland, to create safe and comfortable conditions for drivers, and to enhance the efficiency of international transportation.

This cooperation has been made possible through coordination and strategic communication between the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
