At the site of the major repair of the M-07 Kyiv-Kovel-Yahodyn highway, work on milling the worn road surface has been completed.
This work is a preparatory stage in the comprehensive restoration of the road on the approaches to the «Yahodyn-Dorohusk» international border crossing point with a total length of 1.9 km.
Simultaneously with the milling, the contractor carried out a number of other preparatory measures, in particular:
– dismantling of barrier fencing and fences;
– dismantling of outdoor lighting poles;
– clearing of the roadside and right-of-way.
Currently, road workers are preparing to widen the roadway after which work will begin on laying the foundation for the new road surface.
The major repair of the M-07 highway is being carried out under Project No. 101122932 – 22-EU-TG-PL-UA “Road Border Crossing Points,” which is being implemented as part of the European Union’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program. This program provides for the modernization of critical transport infrastructure connecting Ukraine with the EU.
The project is being implemented jointly with the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
