On the approaches to the “Yahodyn-Dorohusk” international road checkpoint major repairs are actively underway on the M-07 Kyiv-Kovel-Yahodyn (to Lublin) state road.
The major repairs, which began in June this year, are being carried out on two sections with a total length of 1.9 km.
To date, the preparatory work has been completed which included milling the worn pavement, clearing the shoulders and right-of-way, dismantling the old barrier fencing, fence and outdoor lighting.

On one of the approaches to the checkpoint the first of three layers of asphalt concrete pavement provided for in the project has already been laid and work has begun on the construction of a sidewalk.
On the other, work is continuing on widening the existing road surface. First, road builders lay a drainage layer of sand in the prepared trenches, then geotextile material on top of it and finally a layer of crushed stone and sand mixture.
The major repair of the M-07 highway at the approaches to the “Yahodyn-Dorohusk” checkpoint is being carried out as part of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program. Infrastructure project “No. 101122932 – 22-EU-TG-PL-UA Road Border Crossing Points” is 50% funded by the European Union.
This project is an investment in infrastructure sustainability, economic stability and Ukraine’s European future.

The Service for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure in Volyn Oblast continues to coordinate the work to ensure high-quality results within the specified time frame.
This cooperation was made possible thanks to the coordination and strategic communication between the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
