At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the village of Yahidne suffered significant damage. Residential and social infrastructure, engineering and transport networks were damaged.
Today, we are comprehensively rebuilding the village. We have already completely renovated 16 apartment buildings and 59 private houses. Work is underway on 13 more houses, which we plan to complete by the end of the year. We are also building four more private houses from scratch.

An important part of rebuilding what was damaged is the government’s Restoration program. In Yahidne, 113 families got compensation for damaged property totaling about 17 million hryvnia. Five more families got certificates to buy homes.

Comprehensive restoration is not just about houses. It is important that people return not only to restored homes, but to a different standard of living. That is why, in addition to residential infrastructure, work is continuing on the construction of a community center and an urban park where residents can spend their leisure time. Currently, work is underway to prepare the foundation pit and plan the territory.
The street and road network has also been repaired: the road surface and sidewalks have been restored, and street lighting with autonomous power supply has been installed.

The local school building is being renovated into an administrative building. In the spring of 2022, russian occupiers held more than 370 residents of Yahidne in the school basement for almost a month. A memorial complex will be created here in memory of those terrible events.
