We are constructing a parking and rest area near the checkpoint on the M-15 Odessa-Reni national highway

Odesa

The construction of the site is being carried out as part of the CEF program aimed at modernizing the Reni-Giurgiulesti international checkpoint. Work is currently underway to prepare the subgrade and lay a gravel-sand mixture on the relevant sections.

The construction of the site will increase the capacity of the checkpoint and significantly improve safety conditions on the shared motorway connecting Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova. The equipped parking area will reduce the load on access roads, optimize traffic flows, and provide comfortable conditions for drivers and passengers to rest.

We remind you that the site is designed to accommodate:

  • 46 parking spaces for freight transport
  • 13 parking spaces for passenger cars, including 2 spaces for people with disabilities

The project is to be financed by a grant provided under the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility (#CEF) program, which covers 50% of the costs. The remaining 50% is financed from the state budget.

The project is part of the European Solidarity Routes initiative, which promotes the integration of Ukraine’s transport routes into the European network, providing new opportunities for exports and bilateral trade with the European Union.

This cooperation was made possible thanks to the coordination and strategic communication between the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or CINEA. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.
