Work on these structures began in the fall of 2021. At that time temporary detours were built and the old structures were dismantled. In January-February 2022, work was carried out on driving and testing piles. During the full-scale invasion this part of the Chernihiv region was occupied for a month. The bridges remained unfinished.
In 2025 major repairs resumed. The supports and monolithic span structures have already been completed and the slopes have been reinforced with gabions. Work was also carried out on waterproofing the bridge structures and laying a leveling layer of asphalt concrete. Currently, the work on laying the crushed stone cushion on the approaches has been completed and curbs have been installed. The contractor is preparing to lay the next layer of crushed stone and sand mixture with cement and then asphalt the bridge structures together with the approaches. Next, we will equip the road environment and apply markings.

It is important to complete the work on these artificial structures to ensure stable road communication between Chernihiv and Slavutych. Temporary detours cannot be used for a long time, as this poses a risk of accidents. For example, in the summer of 2024 an emergency situation occurred on one of the temporary detours when a powerful stream of water washed away and partially destroyed the temporary structure due to abnormal rainfall. Traffic was blocked for a day while emergency repair work was underway.
