Construction is underway on a parking and rest area near the border checkpoint on the M-15 Odesa–Reni public road of national importance (towards Bucharest).

The goal is to enhance road safety near the Reni–Giurgiulesti international border crossing point, located on the highway connecting Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova. The parking area will help reduce congestion on access roads to the checkpoint, optimize traffic flow, and provide comfortable rest conditions for drivers and passengers.
The area will cover 1.7 hectares and will include:
▪️ 46 parking spaces for freight vehicles;
▪️ 13 parking spaces for passenger vehicles, including 2 designated spots for people with disabilities.
The project is co-funded by a grant under the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program, which covers 50% of the total cost. The remaining 50% is financed from the state budget.
The project is part of the European “Solidarity Lanes” initiative, aimed at integrating Ukraine’s transport routes into the EU network, creating new opportunities for exports and bilateral trade with the European Union.
This cooperation has been made possible through coordination and strategic communication between the Ministry for and Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
