We have completed the major repairs of artificial structures in the Chernihiv district, which began before the full-scale invasion. The work included the restoration of three land bridges built in 1967. Prior to reconstruction, their condition was classified as near-emergency.

In the autumn of 2021, during the early stages of major repairs, temporary bypass roads were built and the old bridge structures were dismantled. In January–February 2022, pile driving and testing works were underway. However, during the full-scale invasion, this part of Chernihiv region was under occupation for a month. After liberation, the bridges remained unfinished for three years.
In 2025, the major repairs resumed. The following works were completed:
· Construction of piers and monolithic spans
· Slope reinforcement with gabions
· Waterproofing of bridge structures
· Installation of new asphalt concrete pavement on the bridges and approach roads
· Installation of expansion joints
· Installation of guardrails and safety barriers
· Application of road markings
On the morning of September 5, 2025, the bridges were officially reopened to traffic.
Finishing work on these artificial structures is crucial to ensuring stable road connectivity between Chernihiv and Slavutych. The temporary bypasses were not designed for long-term use and posed a serious risk of accidents. In February–March 2022, numerous convoys of heavy russian military equipment used this route, significantly straining the temporary structures. In the summer of 2024, an emergency occurred when abnormal rainfall caused a powerful water flow to undercut and partially destroy one of the bypass roads. Traffic was blocked for an entire day while emergency recovery works were carried out.
