Repair work on the M-07 Kyiv–Kovel–Yahodyn (to Lublin) highway is nearing completion. On two sections with a total length of almost 2 km, which serve as access roads to the Yahodyn-Dorohusk international road crossing point, a new multi-layer road surface has already been laid, sidewalks have been built, and outdoor lighting has been installed.

Work is continuing on applying road markings, installing barrier fencing, and constructing slopes and shoulders. The contractor will soon begin installing road signs.
Soon, these sections of the road will be opened to freight traffic, which, according to the system, is heading to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border through the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint.
We are carrying out major repairs to the M-07 Kyiv-Kovel-Yahodyn (to Lublin) motorway as part of a project under the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program. The European Union is co-financing the project at 50% of its cost. This program provides for the modernization of critical transport infrastructure connecting Ukraine with the EU.
The restoration of access roads to the Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing point will improve traffic comfort and safety and ensure efficient transport links between Ukraine and Poland, one of the key routes for export and humanitarian cargo.

This cooperation was made possible thanks to the coordination and strategic communication between the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
