The Agency for Restoration has successfully completed the training program “Mentorship as a Tool for Developing and Engaging Interns,” designed to prepare mentors who will support participants of the RE:Generation youth internship program.
The training brought together 20 representatives of the Agency for Restoration and the Regional Services for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure. These participants will serve as mentors, providing professional guidance and support to interns throughout the two-month internship program.
The curriculum covered modern approaches to mentorship, the adaptation of young professionals to the public sector, effective communication, goal setting, constructive feedback, the development of interns’ professional competencies, and practical tools for their professional guidance.
Throughout the program, participants worked on practical case studies, exchanged experiences, and practiced approaches that will foster effective mentor–intern collaboration while creating a supportive environment for interns’ professional growth.
Preparing mentors is a key component of the RE:Generation internship program, as mentors play a crucial role in helping interns adapt to the workplace, sharing practical expertise, and shaping a new generation of professionals for Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction sector.
The training program was delivered with the support of the EU4Reconstruction Project (Component 2).
