Road maintenance works are ongoing: 3.1 million m² of pavement defects eliminated in the first half of the year

Restoration Services in all regions of Ukraine are carrying out current repairs and maintenance of public roads of national importance. Since the beginning of the year, damage, destruction, and pavement deformations have been eliminated on a total area of 3.1 million m².

Repair of frontline roads is among the priorities of the Agency for Restoration. This ensures military logistics and the evacuation of the wounded. Such works account for over 70% of the total volume. Maintenance works are also being carried out on access roads to border crossing points.

The most active works are taking place in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions.

We remind you that for road maintenance in frontline regions, the Government allocated additional funding of UAH 5.2 billion from the state budget reserve fund for measures related to strengthening defense capabilities, of which UAH 2.6 billion is allocated for roads of national importance. Works to eliminate destruction and pavement deformations have already been completed on an area of 1.8 million m².

The funds are directed to carry out current repair and maintenance of damaged public roads of national and local importance used to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
