We continue upgrading the national highway M-19, one of the key transport arteries connecting Bukovyna with the rest of Ukraine and Europe. This time, the work has started on the section from the Mamaivtsi roundabout to the entrance to Chernivtsi.

Thousands of trucks traveling to and from the Romanian border use this section of the M-19 every day. Constant heavy loads and years of operation have caused deformations, ruts, and cracks in the pavement. Restoring the road surface is a matter of safety and driving comfort.
We are carrying out the repairs in a technological and balanced way. We’re working with large patches — this means local replacement of worn-out pavement layers where the damage is most critical. This method allows efficient resurfacing without a full road closure.

The repair includes:
- Milling of the worn surface layer
- Strengthening of the road base
- Laying of a new asphalt concrete layer.
The work is being carried out as part of routine maintenance. We urge drivers to be attentive and cautious — road workers and special machinery are operating on-site.
