Restoration works are underway in Trostianets, Sumy region, on the buildings of the city hospital’s outpatient clinic and children’s ward. This medical facility is one of the key healthcare institutions in the community — it provides qualified and specialized medical care to adults and children, diagnostics, outpatient treatment and inpatient services.

During the occupation of the city in March 2022, the hospital sustained severe damage due to artillery shelling. The roofs, windows, building facades, utility networks, and surrounding territory were damaged.
Currently, contractors continue with exterior works. Around the clinic and children’s ward buildings, the old curb stones have been dismantled, and new light wells are being installed to provide natural lighting and improve ventilation in the basement areas.
Work is ongoing to restore the surface water drainage system: the area is being prepared for paving, new curbs are being installed, and the brick manhole covers are being repaired.

Once the exterior works are completed, contractors will begin the interior renovation. This includes the refurbishment of stairwells and the connecting corridor between the clinic and the inpatient building. Interior works will involve wall and ceiling finishes, installation of modern lighting, and replacement of old handrails.
The restoration of the Trostianets City Hospital is financed by the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.
All works are being carried out in accordance with modern construction standards and energy efficiency requirements. Once completed, the restored facility will provide the community with access to high-quality medical services in safe and comfortable conditions.
