Restoring the hospital in Trostianets

Housing and social infrastructure
Sumy

In Trostianets, Sumy region, reconstruction of the city hospital continues. The facility suffered severe damage during the occupation and shelling in March 2022. The hospital provides qualified inpatient and specialized medical care for both adults and children.

A number of works have already been completed:

·         Installation of handrails on the entrance porches in compliance with regulations and standards

·         Painting of stairwell floors in the passage between the children’s ward and the polyclinic

·         Installation of insulated heating pipelines, along with fittings and radiators

Currently, work is underway to restore the surface water drainage system for the polyclinic and children’s ward buildings. This includes repairing driveways with asphalt concrete surfacing, dismantling old curbstones and installing new ones.

Special attention is being paid to the hospital’s energy efficiency and accessibility to ensure the facility is comfortable and accessible for all patients.

Once reconstruction is complete, the hospital will become a modern and energy-efficient medical institution where community residents can receive high-quality care.

The restoration of Trostianets City Hospital is being funded by the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.
