In Trostianets, located in the Sumy region, reconstruction continues on a multi-storey residential building at 9 Neskuchanska Street. The five-storey apartment block suffered significant damage in March 2022 due to artillery shelling by russian tanks. As a result, 30 families were left without homes.
Restoration work began in October 2023. The main phase of the reconstruction has been completed: interior partitions and the roof have been rebuilt, load-bearing walls reinforced, new windows and doors installed, and utility systems laid. In 2025, the project documentation was revised to better reflect residents’ needs, particularly regarding interior apartment finishes.

Builders have already completed the installation of interior door units and ceramic tile flooring. Currently, they are installing stretch ceilings and decorating walls with wallpaper in the living spaces.
Next steps include laying laminate flooring and landscaping the surrounding area, including the installation of an asphalt-concrete pavement.
The capital repair of the apartment building is funded by the Fund for the Elimination of Consequences of Armed Aggression of the russian federation. This reconstruction project carries great social importance, as it will enable dozens of families to return to their homes and restore normal living conditions.
