Repairing the bridge over the Teteriv River

Roads and bridges
Kyiv region

We are continuing the major repair of the bridge in the Kyiv region over the Teteriv River on the T-10-05 road.

Currently, reinforcement frames for bored piles are being manufactured, wells for piles are being drilled, reinforcement frames are being installed, piles of one of the shore supports are being concreted, work on reinforcing and concreting the sub-trusses is continuing and the roadbed is being formed at the shore piers.

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation in 2022 the load-bearing parts of the bridge (the spans and piers) were significantly damaged and destroyed by shelling.

Traffic across the bridge became impossible which significantly disrupted regional transport and logistics links and transit traffic towards the border with the EU.

At the beginning of the repair work specialists dismantled the destroyed and damaged structural elements of the bridge, in particular four reinforced concrete spans and two shore piers.

Subsequently, to ensure the completion of the repair and restoration work, the steel beams of the six existing spans were installed in their designated positions.

The full scope of work to reinforce the beams of seven piers with a reinforced concrete framework has been completed and preparations are underway to continue reinforcing the beams of the remaining piers.

The major repair of the bridge is being carried out as part of a pilot project covering priority objects in the Kyiv region.
