We continue major repairs of the bridge over the Teteriv River in the Kyiv region. At the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, key elements of the structure — spans and piers — were damaged or destroyed due to shelling. Traffic over the bridge became impossible, significantly disrupting transport and logistics connections in the capital region and transit movement toward the EU border.

As a first step, specialists dismantled the destroyed and damaged structural elements of the bridge, including four reinforced concrete spans. Later, to enable repair and restoration work, six bridge spans were constructed using steel beams.
The full range of reinforcement work with reinforced concrete frameworks for six piers has also been completed. Such work is currently ongoing on two more piers.
The major repair of the bridge is being carried out as part of a pilot project covering six sites in the Kyiv region. The works are being implemented with financial support from UK EXPORT FINANCE.
