In the village of Chernykhivtsi, located in the Ternopil region, repair works are underway on the bridge over the Hnizna River. Currently, reinforcement and concreting of the pile cap—the upper part of the pile foundation—are in progress. The concrete base for the pile cap was poured earlier. Next, a winged abutment wall will be constructed on this foundation. At the same time, the contractor has started assembling metal bridge components, which will later be installed on the supports.

As a reminder, the repair of this bridge on the national road P-43 began in early August. The structure was damaged by a heavy truck that exceeded the allowable weight limit. A detour route has been arranged around the repair site, with appropriate warning signs and panels installed.

The metal modular components for the new bridge were provided free of charge by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) under the Emergency Recovery Program. The new structure will span 20 meters, and its load capacity will be increased to 100 tons.
We advise drivers traveling on the P-43/M-19 – Lanivtsi – /H-02/ road to plan their route in accordance with the proposed detours.
