We are renovating the cafeteria in Ivanivka, Chernihiv region. Renovation began at the end of 2023. First, we erected the walls and roof, insulated the facade, installed windows, and completed part of the internal communications, ventilation and painting. In 2024, the work was suspended due to a change of contractor, and in May 2025, it was resumed. Currently, tiling, ventilation, heating and electrical installation work is underway.
Once completed, the cafeteria building will meet modern standards for educational institutions: it will be equipped with new heating, ventilation, water supply, power supply, fire protection and lighting systems. The area will increase to 416 m². A lift for people with reduced mobility will also be installed.
Ivanivka is the center of a united community where about 150 children from the village and surrounding areas study. The restoration of the school cafeteria is important for the normal functioning of education after de-occupation.
For reference. In March 2022, russian troops occupied 75% of the Chernihiv region, including Ivanivka, where fighting took place. Housing and social infrastructure, including the school’s kitchen, were damaged.
