Participants in the RE:Generation internship program visited key projects of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine (SARDI) in Vinnytsia Oblast. For most of the interns, this was their final meeting as part of the RE:Generation youth internship program.

The program is now moving into its final stage, with the best-performing participants having the opportunity to join the SARDI team.
In particular, the participants saw construction work underway at the Bronnytsia–Unguri border crossing point in Mohyliv-Podilskyi District. This is one of the key projects for the development of border infrastructure in Vinnytsia Oblast and is expected to strengthen the region’s logistics capacity.

The interns also visited the construction site of a new bridge across the Dniester River on the border with Moldova. Once completed, the crossing will provide faster transport links between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, improve freight transport and contribute to the integration of Ukraine’s road network into the European TEN-T network.
During the visit, the participants also learned about the work of the Service for Restoration and Infrastructure Development in Vinnytsia Oblast. Discussions focused on the implementation of infrastructure projects in the region, work at construction sites and the role of border infrastructure in international logistics.

Such visits offer young professionals a unique opportunity to see first-hand how large-scale construction projects are implemented, learn from experienced professionals and gain a better understanding of their role in Ukraine’s recovery.
We thank all the interns, mentors, and the teams of SARDI and its regional Services for their cooperation, openness and engagement!
Reminder. RE:Generation internship program is more than an internship program. It provides young people with opportunities not only to gain professional experience, but also to become part of large-scale change, contribute to recovery projects and help shape the country’s future.
RE:Generation internship program is implemented by SARDI with the support of EU4Reconstruction (Stream 2), funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. It aims to develop human capital, attract talented young people to the public sector and foster a new generation of leaders who will shape the future of Ukraine’s infrastructure.
