Reconstruction work continues in Yahidne, Chernihiv region — a village heavily damaged during the russian occupation in March 2022. Nearly all of the settlement’s housing and infrastructure were affected.
The recovery project includes the restoration of housing, repair of the street and road network, construction of a public building with a shelter, installation of a drinking water well pavilion (buvet), and creation of a memorial site.

Among the completely destroyed buildings was the village cultural center. In its place, a new building is being constructed to house the Community Development Center. The administrative building will feature:
• a hall for community meetings, cultural, and educational events;
• a first aid and maternity unit (paramedic and midwife station);
• an office for citizen services.

Additionally, a shelter for visitors and local residents will be equipped nearby. Construction of the drinking water buvet is also underway.
Currently, specialists are installing formwork for the foundation, reinforcing and concreting the monolithic foundation slab. Around the administrative building, an urban park will be arranged. Workers have already cleared the area and dismantled the old playground. Now, they are laying electrical cables and concreting bases for lighting poles.
This village is being rebuilt comprehensively as part of an experimental project for the restoration of settlements affected by russian aggression.
So far, capital repairs have been completed on 75 residential buildings, with work continuing on 13 more houses. On some sites, facade insulation and roof installation are in progress. Additionally, four new houses are being built from scratch — including foundation, walls, roof, porches, installation of doors and windows and interior finishing work.
