We continue restoring housing damaged as a result of russia’s military aggression. Another apartment building in Zaporizhzhia has been fully rebuilt, and soon 35 families will return to their renovated homes.
The building sustained significant damage during a russian attack in January 2023. Apartments in the first entrance section and part of the ground-floor load-bearing structures were destroyed. During the reconstruction process, the building was hit twice again by russian shelling in 2025, causing damage to windows, balconies, the facade, and interior finishes of the apartments.

As part of the reconstruction project, specialists restored the destroyed structures of the first entrance section and repaired damaged apartments in the second section. Interior finishing works were completed, along with comprehensive energy-efficiency upgrades and façade renovation.
In particular, balcony slabs were reinforced, new balcony structures and windows were installed, and heating, water supply, and electrical systems were restored. Landscaping and improvement works were also carried out in the surrounding area.

Special attention was given to the building’s energy efficiency. The exterior walls were insulated with mineral wool, helping residents reduce heat loss and improve living comfort.
Overall, the Service for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia oblast has now completed the reconstruction of all six residential infrastructure facilities restored with funding from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of the russian federation’s Armed Aggression.
