The railway station square in Trostianets suffered significant destruction during the occupation. In March 2022, all buildings and structures in the area were destroyed due to shelling and fires.
A large-scale reconstruction project is currently underway. Specialists are working on the installation of stormwater and domestic sewage systems, including reinforced concrete manholes and pipes. Simultaneously, roadway access is being prepared, and fencing is being installed.

The project includes:
▪ installation of street lighting poles powered by solar panels
▪ development of convenient pedestrian crossings and driveways
▪ installation of new stormwater and domestic sewage networks, as well as external utilities
▪ improved access roads to the railway station
▪ creation of parking areas for buses and private vehicles.
The restored square will become a modern, safe and comfortable public space, with cozy recreational areas and new opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
The reconstruction of infrastructure, buildings, structures and utility networks in the square area of Trostianets is part of the first phase of a broader recovery initiative — an experimental project for the comprehensive restoration of communities.
