We are reconstructing the cafeteria of a lyceum in the village of Ivanivka. The building was destroyed during tank and artillery battles near the approaches to Chernihiv in the spring of 2022.
Ivanivka is the center of a united territorial community. The local lyceum serves children from surrounding villages, including neighboring Yahidne.
Specialists are currently working inside the building. In most rooms, plastering has been completed, including in the dining hall, and tiling has begun in the restrooms.
Reconstruction of the cafeteria began at the end of 2023. Over the past year, the building’s walls and roof were constructed, the facade insulated, windows installed, roofing completed, interior walls built, and external sewage networks laid.

The construction team has also partially completed the installation of internal utilities, started work on the ventilation system, and began painting the building’s facade.
At the end of 2024, works were temporarily suspended due to a change in the contractor. In May 2025, a new construction company resumed the rebuilding process.
After reconstruction, the cafeteria’s area will triple to 416 m². The building will be equipped with a modern fire protection system, new heating, ventilation, and water supply systems. A water filtration and softening system will also be installed, along with a power supply and lighting system. A lift will be installed to ensure accessibility for people with limited mobility.
