Denmark remains one of Ukraine’s key partners in the country’s recovery, particularly in the Mykolaiv region. During URC 2026, the Agency for Restoration met with representatives of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss the next phase of cooperation and the implementation of priority infrastructure projects.

The meeting focused on restoring water supply infrastructure in Mykolaiv region. The Agency updated its Danish partners on the progress of the Mykolaiv Main Water Pipeline, which has restored a stable water supply to the city, as well as on the construction of new water treatment facilities.
“We reviewed the key water supply projects already delivered, particularly the Mykolaiv Main Water Pipeline and the water treatment facilities. We also presented the latest water quality assessment results, discussed technical solutions, and explored opportunities to secure Danish grant funding for the next phase of modernization,” said Serhii Sukhomlyn, Head of the Agency for Restoration.

Maintaining an open and continuous dialogue with international partners remains a priority for the Agency. Close coordination helps ensure that international assistance is directed efficiently to the areas where it is needed most.
The Agency expressed its gratitude to Denmark for its consistent support of Ukraine and its continued commitment to restoring critical infrastructure. Long-term partnerships built on trust, shared responsibility, and sustained dialogue are essential for delivering projects that improve people’s lives and strengthen local communities.
The Agency also thanked the Kingdom of Denmark for its strategic partnership and comprehensive support. This includes advancing anti-corruption standards and the development of Ukraine’s digital ecosystem through the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI), as well as supporting the Agency’s institutional development under the EU4Reconstruction project (Stream 2).
