Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Agency for Restoration and the Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (KOCEMA)

A training center for heavy machinery operators will be established in Ukraine with the support of the Republic of Korea.

Head of the Agency for Restoration, Serhii Sukhomlyn, is currently on a working visit to Seoul. Today, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association.

The agreement provides for the establishment of a training center in Ukraine to prepare operators of excavators, cranes, bulldozers and other heavy equipment. The center will be equipped with modern simulators and equipment to ensure training meets the standards of the Republic of Korea. This will enable the rapid and high-quality preparation of specialists who will be involved in rebuilding Ukrainian cities and towns.

In addition to the training center, the Memorandum opens opportunities for Korean companies to participate in Ukraine’s recovery process. The document outlines the supply of machinery, the launch of pilot projects and the provision of consulting support. Ukrainian and Korean experts will jointly work on harmonizing standards, developing procurement and service requirements, as well as organizing professional programs and events.

Ukraine will gain access to modern technologies and professional training practices, which will contribute to the rapid restoration of communities. In turn, the Republic of Korea is strengthening its strategic partnership with Ukraine, which is undertaking one of the largest reconstruction efforts in Europe.

The training programs will create new opportunities for Ukrainians to engage in the recovery of the country and facilitate their employment.
