Mykola Boiko, First Deputy Head of the Agency for Restoration, visited the construction site of the major rehabilitation and reconstruction project on the international M-09 Ternopil–Lviv–Rava-Ruska (towards Lublin) highway, covering the section from km 129+807 to km 191+877.

The works are being carried out under the Trans-European Transport Network Development Project (Ukraine – Road Corridors), financed through a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
On the first section, overall project completion has reached 49.6%. Construction continues on six engineering structures, with one bridge already fully completed. Along the 27.6 km section, the lower pavement layer has been completed by 80.8%, the binder course by 76%, and the wearing course by 31%.
On the second section, construction progress has reached 42.6%. Of the six engineering structures, three bridges have already been completed. Along the 34.5 km section, the lower pavement layer is 75.9% complete, the binder course 64% complete, and work on the wearing course has begun.

During the site visit, Mykola Boiko met with representatives of the contractors and supervising engineers, inspected completed pavement sections, and reviewed progress on the engineering structures.

“The M-09 is one of the key transport corridors connecting Lviv Region with the EU border. It is strategically important both for the regional economy and for logistics during wartime. I can see that contractors on both sections are maintaining a good pace of work, particularly on the engineering structures. At the same time, there is some delay in laying the wearing course on the second section, and together with the contractor and the supervision consultant we will closely monitor this issue. Our goal is to ensure that the road is completed on time and to the highest quality standards, as the safety and convenience of thousands of people who use it every day depend on it,” said Mykola Boiko.

Work on both sections is progressing in accordance with the schedules established under the contract terms.
