At the beginning of June, the Rivne Northern Bypass—one of the largest road infrastructure projects completed in recent years—was officially opened. The new road is already easing congestion in the city and improving logistics for both drivers and businesses, with around 6,500 vehicles using it every day.
Previously, all transit traffic passed through Rivne. Now, drivers travelling on the Kyiv–Lutsk route save between 40 minutes and two hours. Transit traffic has been diverted outside the city, making Rivne’s streets less congested and safer for local residents.

The bypass has become the main route for transporting raw materials and shipping finished products for local industries, particularly the woodworking and furniture manufacturing sectors. Shorter travel times mean lower logistics costs and greater competitiveness in both the Ukrainian and EU markets.

The road is already used by approximately 6,500 vehicles every day. With a design capacity of 11,000 vehicles per day, the bypass is well equipped to handle future traffic growth.
