In the settlement of Makariv, Kyiv region, the capital renovation of the residential building at 62 Rostovskoho Street has been completed. The building was damaged during Russia’s full-scale invasion. Due to shelling and fires, one section of the building suffered critical damage. It was dismantled and rebuilt.

The residents have now received the keys to their homes, and 50 families can return home.
A comprehensive range of restoration works was carried out at the site: damaged and emergency structures were dismantled, foundations, basement areas, external and internal walls, and partitions were restored. Floor slabs, lintels, reinforced concrete belts, balcony slabs, and canopies were installed. The roof, facade, and plinth were restored and insulated, while window, balcony, and door units were replaced.

Stairwells, entrances, and common areas were renovated, apartments received interior finishing, interior doors were replaced, and new flooring was installed. Water supply, sewerage, heating, gas supply and ventilation systems, as well as electrical systems, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection were restored.

The basement has been equipped as a dual-purpose facility that can also be used as a shelter. Accessibility measures have been implemented to ensure barrier-free access to the building and shelter. The surrounding area has also been improved: pedestrian paths, lighting, and landscaping have been restored.
Every restored building is more than rebuilt walls — it means giving people back a sense of home, safety, and confidence in tomorrow.
