At the site of the major overhaul of the M-07 national highway Kyiv – Kovel – Yahodyn (towards Lublin), the final stage of work has begun – the laying of a new road surface with stone mastic asphalt concrete.

At the same time, road workers are installing safety barriers, laying external lighting lines, constructing sidewalks, drainage system elements and performing earthworks.

As a reminder, two sections of the M-07 highway leading to the “Yahodyn – Dorohusk” border crossing point, with a total length of 1.9 km, began reconstruction in June this year. Weather permitting, the main construction and installation works are expected to be completed by the end of October.

The project “No. 101122932 – 22-EU-TG-PL-UA: Road Border Crossing Points” is being implemented under the European Union’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme, which provides 50% co-financing from the EU.

The implementation of this project will improve access to the international border crossing point on the Ukrainian-Polish border “Yahodyn – Dorohusk”, ensure safe and comfortable traffic, and contribute to the development of the border infrastructure in the Volyn region.

This cooperation became possible thanks to the coordination and strategic communication of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine with the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
