Development of border infrastructure: agreement signed for repair and construction work at the Rava-Ruska border crossing point

With the support of the European Union, we are developing the border infrastructure of Lviv region, in particular at the Rava-Ruska and Krakivets border crossing points on the border with Poland.
The public procurement procedure has now been completed under the project:

“Major repair of the public road of national importance M-09 Ternopil – Lviv – Rava-Ruska, including the construction of parking areas for freight transport at km 183+260 (right side) and km 189+500 (right side), Lviv region.”

According to the results of the tender conducted through the Prozorro system, the winner has been selected and a contract has been signed for repair and construction works.
This involves the creation of modern and safe areas for temporary parking of vehicles with 270 parking spaces for freight transport in Rava-Ruska.

This will ensure proper rest conditions and comfortable waiting for road users during border clearance procedures. It will also optimize traffic flows, reduce queues, increase capacity, and improve traffic safety at one of the most important border crossings with Poland.

The activities are carried out within the framework of the international programme “Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).”

The modernization of the Rava-Ruska border crossing point is one of two projects aimed at constructing additional parking facilities being implemented in Lviv region under the CEF infrastructure programme.
At the same time, within the framework of the project, we are working to improve border infrastructure at the Krakivets border crossing point, where we plan to arrange parking areas for heavy-duty vehicles with a capacity of 200 spaces.

This cooperation became possible thanks to the coordination and strategic communication of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine together with the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
