The Agency for Restoration is actively involved in implementing the Border Infrastructure Development Strategy through 2030, developed and approved by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine. Together with our partners, we are modernizing border crossing points, constructing new facilities, and improving logistics for both citizens and businesses.
A field meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Ukraine’s Integration into the European Union was held with the participation of Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Serhii Derkach, and Head of the Restoration Agency, Serhii Sukhomlyn.

Alongside Members of Parliament, representatives of ministries, and local authorities, visits were made to the border crossing points “Mohyliv-Podilskyi – Otaci”, “Bronnytsia – Unguri”, and the construction site of the bridge crossing over the Dniester near Yampil. The bridge will reduce the load on the Mohyliv-Podilskyi border crossing and restore logistics capacity.
The “Green Corridor” is already operating at the Reni – Giurgiulești – Galați border crossing points, as well as “joint control” at the Reni crossing. This enables trucks to clear customs twice as fast. By the end of the year, we plan to complete construction of a service zone at this same location, with support from the EU and IOM.
During the meeting, results and future plans were presented, including:
✅ Reconstruction of the “Reni” border crossing point and creation of a service zone with EU support
✅ New construction of “Bila Tserkva – Sighetu Marmației” and expansion of “Porubne – Siret”
✅ Implementation of the intergovernmental bridge project “Yampil – Cosăuți”
✅ Introduction of joint control mechanisms with Moldova at 5 border crossing points
We are working to ensure that Ukraine’s borders are modern and convenient for crossing, while significantly reducing project costs.
