In the village of Chernyhivtsi, Ternopil district, active dismantling work is underway on the bridge along the R-43 / M-19 – Lanivtsi – / N-02/ state highway.

The contractor has already completed a significant portion of the preparatory works: the asphalt concrete pavement has been removed, and the barrier fencing and pedestrian walkways have been dismantled. Currently, specialists are finishing the removal of the superstructure beams.
A new metal bridge will be installed at the site of the damaged structure, provided by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as grant aid from Japan to Ukraine under the Emergency Recovery Program.
Installation of the bridge is planned to be completed by October 2025, weather permitting.
As a reminder, in early June, a truck driver ignored a restriction sign prohibiting vehicles over 28 tons from using the road. As a result, part of the bridge was damaged. Repair works began on August 6. A detour around the repair site has been established, with appropriate warning signs and panels installed.

We ask drivers traveling along the R-43 / M-19 – Lanivtsi – / N-02/ road to plan their routes according to the proposed detours.
We sincerely thank our Japanese partners for their support in rebuilding Ukraine!
