The village of Posad-Pokrovske suffered large-scale destruction as a result of russian military aggression. Approximately 80% of the infrastructure in the settlement was destroyed. We are carrying out a comprehensive reconstruction of the village and helping residents return to their homes. Despite the proximity to the front line, people want to live in their own community.

During a working trip to the south of Ukraine, Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba and Head of the Agency for Restoration Serhii Sukhomlyn visited several sites currently undergoing reconstruction.

As part of the first stage, we are rebuilding 362 damaged houses. The majority of these are new builds. A total of 263 homes will be constructed from scratch — 194 of them are already under construction, each at a different stage of completion.

We are also carrying out major repairs on damaged housing. By the end of the year, capital repairs of 99 private households will be completed. Contractors are already installing new roofs, restoring facades, and performing interior work.

A crucial part of ensuring a comfortable life for residents is the restoration of utility infrastructure. The work to restore electricity supply has been completed 100%. Water pipeline installation is at the final stage — about 80% completed. Gas supply connections to each home are also ongoing.

“A comprehensive approach means reviving all aspects of community life. The next stage is to build a new educational institution in Posad-Pokrovske (a kindergarten), a modern public square, an active park, and a community center to replace the destroyed House of Culture. We also plan to install a 2 MW solar power plant. In parallel, we will construct another 238 private homes. All facilities are being designed with energy efficiency, safety, and accessibility in mind,” said Serhii Sukhomlyn.

The street and road network is also receiving attention. A total of 21 streets — more than 41 kilometers of roads and sidewalks — are planned for restoration. Work is already underway on three sites.
