Another bridge in the Kharkiv region, previously destroyed as a result of russia’s full-scale invasion, has been fully restored through major repairs. A temporary crossing had been installed earlier, as this road serves as one of the key logistical routes, ensuring connectivity between communities as well as supporting humanitarian and military logistics.

Today, the bridge has essentially been rebuilt from scratch: new supports and beams were installed, a new monolithic slab was laid, modern lighting and a video surveillance system were added, and both barrier and pedestrian railings were mounted to ensure the safety of both drivers and pedestrians.
Compared to the original structure, which was built back in 1961, the new bridge is larger and more convenient, designed to withstand modern load requirements. It now measures 11.6 meters in width, 48.88 meters in length, and 2.5 meters in height.

Restoring bridges is a top priority for the region, as it impacts not only mobility and transportation comfort but also defense capability and rapid response to military needs.
This is already the eighth bridge structure restored in the Kharkiv region in 2025. Last year, traffic was resumed on 10 other bridges. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of builders and engineers, Kharkiv region now ranks first in Ukraine in terms of the speed of bridge reconstruction.
