Head of the Agency for Restoration Serhii Sukhomlyn and Deputy Head for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitization Roman Komendant held a working meeting with representatives of the British Embassy in Ukraine dedicated to projects in the field of digital construction.
During the meeting, the parties discussed further cooperation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom in the area of Building Information Modelling (BIM), as well as the implementation of joint projects supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

The discussion focused on:
development of BIM technologies in Ukraine and support from British partners
implementation of the pilot project at the “Yahodyn” border crossing point and preparation of four additional pilots
preparation for the implementation and financing of digital construction.
Amanda Duff, FCDO Infrastructure Adviser, noted that the Agency for Restoration remains one of the UK’s key partners and that the British side is interested in further cooperation.
In turn, Adam Matthews, Head of Stakeholder Engagement at Connected Places Catapult, emphasized that the UK continues to support the development of BIM both at the national level and, in particular, through cooperation with the Agency for Restoration.
Serhii Sukhomlyn expressed gratitude to the British partners for their long-term and important support of Ukraine’s reconstruction projects.
Work is already underway to exchange experience with British experts on promoting BIM principles within the Agency’s activities. Future plans include strengthening the capacity of regional recovery services and business representatives through training programs that will promote the adoption of digital approaches in the design and implementation of infrastructure projects.
Cooperation between the Agency for Restoration and British partners continues. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further joint efforts in developing a digital, safe and resilient infrastructure for Ukraine.
